Signs of Love

I’ve loved fashion from a young age, following trends on TV, in magazines, and online. At 12, I attended London Fashion Week with my mum and even participated in a professional photo shoot celebrating my love for style.
As I grew older, my creativity flourished. Fine Arts became my favourite subject, and I proudly pursued it for my GCSEs. About five years ago, I began merging my passion for art and fashion, designing vibrant, meaningful pieces full of emotion.
For me, fashion is a canvas—a way to tell stories through colour, pattern, and movement.
In this illustration, I transform the universal “I love you” sign from sign language into a bold statement that celebrates love and inclusion. These patterns are designed to inspire and empower, showing how fashion can be art that speaks to everyone.
Part 2: From Pattern to Fashion
Taking inspiration from the bold and unapologetic brands like Kai Collective, I envisioned these patterns as more than illustrations—they are textiles ready to transform into wearable art. The design celebrates individuality with its striking colors and intricate shapes, perfect for statement pieces in a clothing line. Whether it’s a flowing scarf, a dramatic dress, or tailored streetwear, this fabric tells a story of inclusion and empowerment.
The patterns are versatile yet bold, designed to radiate confidence and creativity in whoever wears them. By merging art with fashion, my goal is to create pieces that make people feel seen, celebrated, and part of a larger narrative of love and identity. These designs aren’t just about fabric—they’re about a movement, an experience, and a powerful message wrapped in stunning visuals.
